New shed supports budding community garden in British Columbia
Nothing says “we’re rooting for you” better than a new shed for a community garden! When one of the community groups by the Refinery reached out to ask us to help relocate their existing shared tool shed at their community garden – we jumped into action. Instead of moving their old shed, our team went the extra mile and built a brand new one, truly demonstrating our community values.
Working closely with the president of the community garden, our team helped assess their needs for optimal shared storage and had our crews onsite within the week to get the new a-maize-ing shed under construction, and unveiled it two weeks later.
To top it off, Paul McDonald, a Parkland maintenance supervisor who spearheaded the project, donated a box of vegetable seed packs in hopes of supporting budding garden enthusiasts of the neighbourhood.
