About Lyla
Lyla Garzouzi joined Parkland in 2022. As Interim Senior Vice-President, Corporate Services, she is responsible for enterprise-wide planning, alignment, and execution of Parkland’s People and Culture, Health, Safety and Environment, Sustainability and asset integrity strategies, including the IT Transformation project NextGen. Her portfolio incorporates Corporate Affairs which includes Communications, Government and Stakeholder Relations.
Ms. Garzouzi is a highly regarded leader with a proven track record in successfully executing large-scale change while building strong relationships with people.
Prior to this, Ms. Garzouzi spent almost 20 years at in the electricity sector, progressively taking on broader mandates in various areas: planning, engineering, asset management and operations. As Chief Safety Officer and Vice President of Distribution, she led the largest workforce at a major Canadian utility and successfully carried out a $1B work program while having a significant impact on safety and operational excellence.
In addition, Ms. Garzouzi served on numerous boards and is currently on the Ocean Renewable Power Corporation, an international marine energy technology company based in Portland, Maine.
Ms. Garzouzi is a Professional Engineer, holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa and an Executive MBA from Ivey business school. In 2020, she was recognized by Caldwell Partners as one of Canada’s Top 40 under 40. In her spare time, Ms. Garzouzi enjoys spending time at the cottage, with her spouse, two daughters and pup.
